- Description
- The U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Office of Construction & Facilities Management (CFM) is conducting market research in support of our Fiscal Year (FY) 2018 leasing program. During FY 17, CFM received authorization to procure 28 major leases across the country from Portland, ME to San Diego, CA. These leases equate to approximately 2.4 million square feet of space with an estimated total contract value of $1.8 billion. This announcement is intended to inform interested parties, specifically the development community, of the opportunity to register for an Industry Day Forum to learn and provide input about acquisition strategy, recently revised requirements, and timelines and an opportunity to network with qualified teaming partners and CFM staff. Take advantage of this opportunity to ask questions and provide your feedback. The FY 18 Industry Day will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, from 12:30PM to 4:30 PM Eastern Time. VA will host this event at 425 I Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. To register for this event, please visit https://vaindustryday.wordpress.com/register/. Registration for this Industry Day is required and must be completed no later than 4:00 PM ET, Monday, November 6, 2017. Note: NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. There is no commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. Note: VA s leases are subject to the Veterans First Contracting Program, which requires that VA award contracts based upon competition restricted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses when a Contracting Officer has a reasonable expectation, based on market research, that two or more firms listed as verified in Vendor Information Pages database are likely to submit offers and an award can be made at a fair and reasonable price that offers best value to the Government. Note: Small business-led team, joint venture, or another form of teaming arrangement should review, in consultation with legal counsel, the Small Business Administration's (SBA) size eligibility standards found at Title 13 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 121 (13 CFR 121). In particular, Offerors proposing a joint venture, or another form of teaming arrangement should review SBA information on affiliation, which can be found at: http://www.sba.gov/content/affiliation
