- A Pre-Solicitation Conference will occur Tuesday, 14 November 2017 starting at 8:30am at the MITRE facility in Fairborn (1051 Channingway Dr. Fairborn, OH 45324). The morning will consist of opening remarks and a status update of the Mounted and Airborne Video Data Link (MA-VDL) effort. There will be an open forum for questions regarding the posted SRD and RFI. There will also be opportunities for one-on-one sessions in the afternoon. If your company plans to participate on 14 November 2017, please confirm your attendance and your desire for a one-on-one session no later than 5pm EST Tuesday, 7 November 2017 to Mr. Christopher Hinders: christopher.hinders.1@us.af.mil and courtesy copy (CC) Brittany Owens at: brittany.owens.1@us.af.mil. Please send no more than three (3) representatives from your company. Participants must submit the names and titles of all attendees. NOTE: The VDL Program Office is considering the potential of a single-box solution for MA-VDL (for both mounted and airborne platforms). Please provide a detailed concept, identify your perceived risks/opportunities and provide any of your past experience with multi-platform/multi-environment solutions. Read ahead packages would be appreciated. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commit the government to award a contract now or in the future. Submitting information for this RFI is voluntary, and participants will not be compensated. Your response to this RFI will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government's use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The information provided may be used by the AF in developing its acquisition strategy, statement of work/statement of objectives, and performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained within their response.
