Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS), headquarters located in New Orleans, LA, needs three (3) board certified/board eligible Primary Care locum tenens physician, Family Practice or Internal Medicine, who will provide physician services at either of the following locations: Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Slidell, Hammond, and St. John Community Based Outpatient Clinics in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, and the schedule of this solicitation from the effective date with options to extend, pending availability of funds. A background investigation is required. The Contractor shall provide services to eligible beneficiaries in accordance with the requirements herein. VA experience is preferred. A VA security check is required. Required information for the VA security check is as follows: name of individual, address, date of birth & social security number. If the candidate has had a VA security check in the last five years, provide the evidence. Candidate must provide clinical references who can attest to candidate s clinical practice within the past year. BLS is required. Candidate must acquire Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) provider identification number. The VA anticipates issuing a solicitation for this requirement on or about October 24, 2017 with a closing date for proposals on or about October 31, 2017. The solicitation will be available for download from www.fbo.gov. Interested contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies will be made available. The solicitation will provide full information to contractors about the proposal submission process. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the FBO website so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. The physician is to be competent in modern treatment principles and techniques, fully trained in all aspects routine adult medical care. The physician will work in Primary Care at the either of the following locations: Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Slidell, Hammond, and St. John Community Based Outpatient Clinics. The Government anticipates making a firm-fixed price contract for this requirement. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561320 and size standard is $27.5 Million and the solicitation will be issued for SDVOSB (set-a-side). All responsible sources may submit proposals which shall be considered by the Agency. To be eligible for award, contractors must be registered in SAM (System for Award Management) database (information on registration requirements can be obtained by the Internet at https://www.sam.gov and submit their complete Annual Representations and Certifications (ORCA) via online at https://orca.bpn.gov at proposal due date/time.
