Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a firm fixed-price type one year delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-15-G-0026 to Northrup Grumman Company (NGC) to provide F/A-18 E/F/G Inlet Nacelle Bleed Plate Crack Retrofit parts (AFC-603) for Engineering Change Proposal, ECP 6227C3. The supplies and/or services are required to support installation of AFC-603 to enable safe life goals. The procurement will be procured under NAICS 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing), and is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The Government does not currently possess the necessary supplies and/or services to support installation of AFC-603 using a source other than NGC. Therefore, NAVAIR has determined that award of ECP 62273C3 to any source other than NGC would result in unacceptable delays to fielding this requirement. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement with sufficient detail that clearly demonstrates the capability to produce the required products no later than 3:00 PM (EST) October 27, 2017 to brett.middleton@navy.mil.
