Page 1 of 1 This is a sources sought notice for information and planning purposes and shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the VA. The purpose of this sources sought is to identify qualified businesses, including Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), small disadvantaged businesses (SDB), Women-owned Small Business (WOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business, 8(a) Small Business and small business concerns that are interested in and capable of performing the work described herein. The NAICS code is 561621 and the corresponding size standard is $20.5 Million. Your responses to the sources sought will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The VA Palo Alto Health Care System has a requirement for the purchase and installation of a patient wander guard/patient elopement system. It is further intended to acquire the system under a band name justification based on the VA rollout of RTLS systems. Interested firms fitting one or more of these Socio-economic categories should send their information by E-mail to charee.harris@va.gov no later than 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, October 16, 2017. The following information is requested in response to this notice: (1) Type of socio-economic category (e.g. SDVOSB, Small Business, etc.), if firm is a SDVOSB or VOSB, evidence of verification in VetBiz as a SDVOSB or VOSB (SDVOSB and VOSB firms must be verified by the Center for Veteran Enterprises (CVE); (2) A positive statement of your intention to submit a proposal in response to a solicitation for this project; (3) Evidence of your firm s experience in the installation of similar systems, with a minimum of 3 locations (please provide contract descriptions and contract dollar amounts); (4) Evidence of your firm s ability to execute this work within a complex, active healthcare environment with stringent seismic requirements in Menlo Park, California (please provide contract descriptions and contract dollar amounts); (5) Evidence that your firm can respond to and be on site at the VA Sierra Palo Alto Health Care System as necessary during the installation. All information must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested firms fitting one of more socio-economic categories. If adequate interest is not received, this action will not be set aside for SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB, HUBZone, 8(a) small business or small business firms. A copy of the statement of work is attached, along with prints for review and assessment of the requirement. We will also entertain information regarding the NAICS Code, if industry feels it is better suited under a different code to assist with aligning this project with the appropriate potential organizations.
