Questions and submissions may be submitted by email to alice.tornquist@navy.mil. Technical Requirements The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Lakehurst NJ (NAWCADLKE) requires a Small Corrosion Control Cart (SCCC) to be used ashore and afloat. It is to be a trailer mounted, self-contained mobile unit which provides a convenient and safe method of applying filtered fresh water, ready-to-use solution of 4:1 water and cleaning solution. The pressurized solution is used to wash the compressor section of designated aircraft turbofan, turbojet, and turboshaft engines of rotary and fixed-wing aircraft for the purpose of preventing compressor corrosion and engine degradation. The SCCC is to employ a single 75 gallon water tank and one 10 gallon tank of cleaning solution. The 75 gallon tank is equipped with an external fill/continuous feed inlet for replenishing the water tank during use. Application of a cleaning solution to the aircraft engine is accomplished by one of two methods. In the first method, plain water is drawn from the 75 gallon tank by means of a 0 - 8 GPM main pump and mixed with cleaning solution at a 4:1 ratio from the 10 gallon tank (if desired). In the second method, a premixed solution of water and solution (stored in the 10 gallon solution tank) can be selected. A separate solution pump is piggybacked to the main pump. Both pumps are driven by a single pump motor. The water/solution is then directed through a 10 micron water/solution filter to a single water/solution hose and reel. Plain water is drawn from the 75 gallon tank to rinse the aircraft solution residue. Request for Information Please provide the following information with respect to your Small Corrosion Cart, which meets the requirements specified above: 1. General description of your Small Corrosion Control Cart. 2. Identification of critical requirements for the Small Corrosion Control Cart. 3. Overview of your Small Corrosion Control concept of operation. 4. Discuss critical information required for the use of your Small Corrosion Control Cart. 5. Describe environmental testing test methods. 6. Provide any additional information desired.
