Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 hereby provides notice of its intent to award a Sole Source, firm fixed price contract to Carefusion Solutions, LLC, 3750 Torrey View Court, San Diego, CA 92130. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 13.106-1(b). A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The contract will be for Carefusion Solutions to provide continued lease of CareFusion Pyxis Medication System and Support for a 12-month period which is currently integrated throughout the hospital and all clinic areas at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center in Cheyenne, WY. Leased items include: One Med Analytics Portal Tier 1 One Pyxis MedStation 4000 console Nine Pyxis MedStation 4000 6-drawer main Three Pyxis MedStation 4000 2-drawer main One Pyxis MedStation 4000 7-drawer auxiliary Six Pyxis MedStation 4000 auxiliary tower Two Pyxis MedStation 4000 half-height column auxiliary Two Med Smart Remote Manager, round offset, 12ft, LT One Med Smart Remote Manager, flat offset, 12ft, LT Two Med Smart Remote Manager, flat offset, 25ft, LT One Pyxis CIISafe Double Auxiliary NAICS code: 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (SBA Size Standard 1,000 Employees) The supplies are required to augment current systems and interface fluidly with VistA and have the capability of profile, where a pharmacist must verify an order before nursing staff can access the medications. This capability provides significant enhancements and maximizes patient safety, while minimizing the potential for medication diversion. It is essential that the systems interface appropriately to ensure accountability and tracking of prescriptions. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than September 29, 2017, 11:00 AM, MT. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 19 will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses will be considered. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this notice of intent, the Government shall determine if a solicitation will be issued. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be eligible for award. Also, prospective contractor shall be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller to the Department of Veterans Affairs for the proposed equipment/system such that OEM warranty and service are provided and maintained by the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions. Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with Response to Intent to Sole Source for CareFusion Pyxis Medication System and Support in the subject line. All documents submitted will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed to Jesse San Nicolas by email at jesse.sannicolas@va.gov. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support this requirement.
