EQ5P2SS1P-17-0084 THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO MAKE APPROPRIATE ACQUISITION DECISIONS. A SUBSEQUENT SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT MAY FOLLOW. RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS AN ADEQUATE RESPONSE TO ANY FUTURE ANNOUNCEMENT. The General Services Administration (GSA) seeks a Provider/Offeror to: Provide Construction Services at the Everett M. Dirksen Federal Courthouse, 219 S. Dearborn St, Chicago IL 60604. This project includes, but is not limited to providing construction services for the replacement of a Glycol Cooling Tower in the Everett M. Dirksen Federal Courthouse. The contractor will be required to remove the existing cooling tower, and purchase and install a new complete and operating closed circuit (fluid cooler) cooling tower that can be retrofitted to all existing systems and be compliant with the existing BAS system. It will also include, but is not limited to, purchase and installation of condenser pumps, domestic cold water, power, a complete chemical treatment system, BAS controls and the structural frame. No interruptions in operation will be allowed during this project, as such the project should be performed in phases ensuring that the new cooling tower will be operational BEFORE the removal of the existing tower, allowing for a seamless transition between the two. The Contractor shall be responsible for performing all work under this contract in accordance with all Federal, State, County, City laws and codes, and follow the more stringent of them. In addition to compliance with these laws, the Contractor shall follow all applicable standard industry practices including, but not limited to: Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). Interested parties should provide the following: 1) Project Experience Form (for each project example) 2) Market Research Questionnaire. All information is subject to verification. Each response shall be reviewed by the Contracting Officer for the purpose of determining whether there exists reasonable expectation of obtaining a sufficient number of offers from responsible small businesses that are competitive in terms of market prices, quality, and delivery. A determination not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All information furnished to the Government in response to this notice will be used for review purposes only. Responses to this announcement will not be returned, nor will there be ensuing discussions or debriefings of any responses. All eligible firms responding to the Sources Sought must ensure their response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the firm's qualifications to perform this requirement.
