- Special Notice Intent to Sole Source Synopsis: On behalf of the Oscar G. Johnson VAMC (VA), 325 East H. Street, Iron Mountain, MI 49801, the Great Lakes Acquisition Center, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source Task Order with A-Team Solutions LLC for Hospitalist Physician Services at the Iron Mountain VAMC, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The VA has a need for two (2) full time Hospitalists Physicians who are Board Certified/Board Eligible preferred in Internal Medicine, or Family Practice with Urgent Care experience, having a minimum of two years clinic practice experience. Physicians shall also hold a current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). The VA has a low volume and low acuity facility with no Intensive Care Unit and an inpatient average census of eight patients per day. The Hospitalist Physicians shall cover the following shifts: Two 12-hour shifts, one 16-hour shift, one 8-hour shift, one 10-hour shift, and 8 10-hour days consecutively Monday-Monday. Period of performance is October 7, 2017 through January 6, 2018. A-Team Solutions LLC is the only vendor able to meet the immediate needs of the Government. A-Team Solutions LLC currently has physicians who are credentialed and privileged at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center and who have met all VA security requirements. Services to veterans will be able to continue without interruption. If awarded to another vendor, there would be unacceptable delays in fulfilling the requirements and the Urgent Care Center will shut down. The VA is constantly attempting to hire VA permanent staff. If recruitment and onboarding of permanent VA staff is successful during the performance period contract services may no longer be necessary. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 561320 Temporary Help Services, with a small business size standard of $27.5 million. This notice Is NOT a request for competitive offers.
