Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order with the large business manufacturer Covidien Sales LLC. The procurement is for Barrx Flex RFA Energy Generator with Cart. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334510. The Barrx RFA is the only ablation unit approved by the FDA to treat Barrett s Esophagus and is the only unit that is acceptable. The Justification is attached to this notice. This procurement is limited to one source in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(2) Soliciting from a Single Source, as no other supplies with satisfy the Agency s requirement. The anticipated award date: September 15, 2017. This requirement is for: Department of Veterans Affairs Portland VA Health Care System Vancouver Warehouse 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd Vancouver, WA 98661 This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining the market place for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
