- This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size relative to the revised NAICS: 339112, Standard Size: 1000; NAICS: 339113, Standard Size 750. Preference will be given to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business and Veteran Owned Small Business. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses are not considered responses to any potential solicitation announcement. Functional Statement Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, equipment, tools to remove, replace and recycle (40) TC12205 batteries in a Chloride EP8080S44S, S/N B291181 and Remove, replace and recycle (40) C&D UPS12-310FR batteries in a Eaton 9390-160, S/N EX181CAA05 during normal business hours. The Unified Power Batteries UPS will be used in the Radiation Therapy & Patient care area located at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, 2002 Holcombe Blvd. Houston TX 77030 in room BA-320. All repairs must be performed by manufacturer licensed professionals using only original equipment manufacturer parts. Following the repair, vendor must demonstrate to a MEDVAMC Biomed Technician that the equipment runs properly according to manufacturer specified levels. The contract price shall be firm-fixed, all-inclusive, and not limited to specified products/equipment, installation, and setup/configuration. All companies must provide documentation proving that their technicians are certified from the original manufacturer of the equipment to provide service to the equipment specified above. Additionally, the contractor must provide documentation of at a minimum 3 occurrences of similar work. All parts must be certified new from the original manufacturer. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Contractor will remove, replace and recycle (40) TC12205 batteries in a Chloride EP8080S44S and provide the repairs needed. Also, they will remove, replace and recycle (40) C&D UPS12-310FR batteries in a Eaton 9390-160,S/N EX181CAA05 during normal business hours. Upon contract award, the company will have 72 hours to begin the process to recover and complete the work. Contractor will be contacted to verify and document that the Philips Healthcare CT System is working properly and communicate with MEDVAMC staff when the unit is ready for use. Contractor will coordinate with MEDVAMC staff to ensure no impact to patient care during maintenance. Contractor will replace the old with the new Battery CSB, 12V, 52AH that will be inserted in the correct terminals on the Philips Healthcare CT system. Contractor will remove, replace and recycle (40) C&D UPS13-310FR batteries in a Eaton 9390-160, S/N EX181CAA05. Contractor will provide the necessary labor to fully complete the job as necessary. Interested vendors shall provide the following information: company name, address, point of contact, phone number and/or capability statement. Responses to this notice shall be e-mailed to jack.caperton@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received in writing no later than Monday, September 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm CST. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Responses are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
