Description
This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) only pertaining to brand name or equal item(s) for the Ann Arbor VA healthcare facility. Information collected during this RFI may be used in a set aside. If a solicitation is issued, the Government will do so in accordance with Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-83. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 333241. The NAICS size is 500 employees. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for small business status must be registered with the SBA at http://web.sba.gov/pro-net/ and meet the requirements of FAR 19.102. Any contractor that believes they are capable and desires to claim preference for veteran owned small business status must be registered with the VIP at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov as an SDVOSB or VOSB. A Contractor that proposes to provide a supply that is not manufactured by their organization (nonmanufacturer) shall meet the requirements of FAR 19.102(f). Contractors that deem themselves capable of meeting the requirement shall provide the below information to Kellie Konopinski, Contracting Officer, at Kellie.Konopinski@va.gov no-later-than Monday, September 18, 2017 at 4:30PM, EDT, referencing (VA250-17-N-1203). Responses shall include: (1) Business Name and Address, (2) GSA Contract Number, if applicable (3) Point of Contact Name, Phone Number and E-mail Address (4) DUNS and NAICS code (5) Business Size SMALL or LARGE (6) Type of Business: service disabled veteran owned, veteran owned small business, 8a, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc. (7) A concern that is not a manufacturer of the supply shall provide the manufacturers name and size standard. If the concern is the manufacture and the sole distributor, please provide documentation to that effect. Contractor must be registered with https://www.sam.gov To be considered SDVOSB/VOSB, must be registered in VIP (https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/). Supplies are to include only TAA compliant items. Items that are not TAA compliant must be clearly identified by the Contractor should the contractor choose to offer a quote if a RFQ is published. FOB is Destination. Delivery is to: VA Medical Center 1700 East 38th Street Marion, IN 46953 The VA Northern Indiana Health care system has a need for a Pot and Pan Machine at its Marion Facility with the following specifications: Soiled Table 14 gauge stainless steel 12 high x 2 wide backsplash Free edges formed 3 high into 1-1/2 in diameter with 180 degree rolled rim Table include provisions for 1 pot scrubber and 1 waste collector Waste Collector Pot/pan collector, scrapping, pre-flushing & collecting system Large opening to accommodate pots and pans Salvage basin and silverware trap ¾ HP corrosion resistant pump Stainless steel Start/stop push button control panel Safety line disconnect and automatic shut off time Must use recirculated water and consume 2 gallons or less of new water per minute Must have corrosion resistant components, automatic water blender, solenoid valve, unions, check valves, incoming water valves, backflow prevention device. Pot Scrubber Type 304 polished stainless steel construction, 14 gauge stainless tanks and drain boards 11" high x 2 1 2" deep back splash Stainless steel pump and impellerSelf-draining pump. Sink front trim panel. Eight 1 1 2" diameter wash nozzles. Removable, welded H frame leg sets and adjustable bullet feet. Detachable and adjustable height cross rails. Dual inlet strainers. Centrifugal pump with 4" diameter intake and 3" diameter outlet 2 H.P. totally enclosed (TEFC) wash pump motor with permanently sealed bearings. Low water protection for wash pump motor. Inherent motor overload protection, manual reset. Includes mixing faucet, 2.5 kw electric heater with two heat settings and drain with overflow. Must have wash sink sump and auto shut down timer 1-8 hours. Sheet pan rack and utensil basket. Pot and Pan Washer Heavy duty, fully automatic, front opening Prep Washer with split-door system. Upper door section slides upward as the lower door section is pulled down. Stainless steel pull-out rack allows easy loading for large utensils and pans. Three variable wash cycles ensure thorough cleaning and sanitizing. 13 racks per hour with a 2.8 gallons of water usage per cycle. Three timed wash cycles for 2-4-6 minutes. Hot water sanitation machine. Steam Elimination and Energy Recovery. Heat energy is recovered from the condensation of vapors in the chamber at the end of each cycle. This pre-heats the water for the next rinse cycle from 55 °F up to 140 °F. Booster heater capable of   70 ° rise. Front loading, split-door configuration. Chamber accepts 20 full-sized sheet pans, or 140 quart mixing bowl. Service diagnostics, Delime notification and cycle (including booster). 16 gauge stainless steel deep drawn tank, Microcomputer controls with advanced digital cycle/temperature display. Two revolving upper and lower anti-clogging wash arms and rinse arms. Removable stainless steel scrap screens and scrap basket. Corrosion resistant pump. Automatic pumped drain. 33.79" door opening. Automatic fill. Delime pump Electric tank heat. Spray hose. Clean Dish table top is constructed of 14 gauge stainless steel with the portion against the wall formed into a 12" high x 2" wide backsplash. All the free edges are formed 3" high into a 1-1/2" diameter with a 180 degree rolled rim. Food Waste Bio-digester Digests up to 400 lbs of food waste over the course of 24 hours. one year warranty for parts. Specialized biological fluid for bio digestion process. No solids to manage. Food waste digested to waste water. Water from food waste totally reclaimed to an environmentally-sound solution Digests anything a person can digest. Water inherent to food waste is captured and reclaimed by local waste water treatment facilities. Must use, naturally-occurring microorganisms, classed as Hazard Group 1, that also start the breakdown of fats, oils, grease Compact design, easy to use and operate. Installation Remove existing pot and pan area equipment and move to loading dock to remain Government property. Set pot and pan machine. Set tabling in place. Weld and polish any field joints for tables and seal. Install Pot and Pan Collector and power wash sink. Make final utility connections to all new equipment in pot and pan area to within 5' of terminating points on the same floor level. Start up and test all equipment for proper operation. Dispose of debris.
