- 1.0 RFI TITLE: Field Hospital Water Distribution/Wastewater Management System (WDWWMS) 2.0 AGENCY: United States Army Medical Research and Materiel Command 3.0 OFFICE: United States Army Medical Materiel Development Activity (USAMMDA) 4.0 LOCATION: Fort Detrick, Maryland 5.0 SUBJECT: The Project Management Office-Medical Support Systems (PMO-MSS) of the USAMMDA is conducting market research to determine whether a commercial solution can be provided to meet requirements for WDWWMS for use within field hospitals. This market research may also assist with the further development and/or refinement of the requirements. 6.0 DISCLAIMER: This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. Neither unsolicited proposals nor any other kind of offers will be considered in response to this RFI. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. In keeping with the standards of FAR Part 10, the Government may request additional information from responders. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI or any follow-up information request. All information received in response to this RFI or any follow-up information request that is marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Responses to the RFI will not be returned. At this time, questions concerning the composition and requirements for a future request for proposal will not be entertained. 7.0 DESCRIPTION: PMO-Medical Support Systems, USAMMDA, has a requirement to provide the following (recurring) services: USAMMDA has a requirement to provide potable water and wastewater sets for projected Field Hospital/unit conversions. Requirement (per conversion): A) Order/purchase individual components for two (2) each 84 Bed Water Distribution Set, National Stock Number (NSN) 6545-01-563-7209, Standard Line Item Number (SLIN) W53123. B) Order/purchase/assemble individual components for two (2) each 84 Bed Water Maintenance Set, NSN 6545-01-562-7773, SLIN W42371. C) Order/purchase/assemble individual components for three (3) each Water Distribution Connection Set, NSN 6545-01-562-9510, SLIN W53623. D) Order/purchase/assemble individual components for one (1) each 164 Bed Water Distribution Set, NSN 6545-01-563-7505, SLIN W53305. E) Order/purchase/assemble individual components for one (1) each 164 Bed Waste Water Set, NSN 6545-01-563-7224, SLIN W32650. F) Pack like component items together and identify all items by NSN, with markings on outer packs. Pack and identify each completed set separately. G) Provide inventory lists for all components for each completed set. Deliver/ship completed water sets to t a location TBD. 8.0 SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Entities interested in submitting a response must furnish a white paper addressing the above capability (maximum of five pages, not including cover page, index or list of references). The subject header of the email for submission of questions and/or the RFI response shall be: USAMRMC/USAMMDA Field Hospital Water Distribution/Wastewater Management System (WDWWMS). All information regarding capabilities statements or any other proprietary information relative to this RFI shall be marked appropriately. Submission should include the following information: A description of similar work conducted, if any, including an estimate of the projected cost; Responder's complete contact information (telephone, physical address, and email address). 9.0 SUBMISSION CONTACT INFORMATION: Interested entities shall forward electronic submissions to the point of contact identified in this post no later than the date and time specified for responses. Telephonic communication will not be considered as submission nor receive a response.
