- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-16-G-0001 to The Boeing Company (TBC) to provide retrofit incorporation of F/A-18E/F and EA-18G windshield sealing improvements in accordance with Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6504. The contract action will be for the design and development, logistics product data, publications, technical directive and associated validation/verification kids and validation installation. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10 USC 2304 (C)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." The Boeing Company is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM0 and the only commercial source capable of updating drawings and developing TD's. This synopsis is for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive proposals. Responsible sources may submit a Statement of Capability and Qualification to the Contract Specialist listed demonstrating their ability to perform the Government's requirement and shall provide proof of approved facility and personnel clearances necessary to meet the delivery schedule required writing 15 days from the publication date of the announcement. The Government will utilize the capability statements received solely to confirm the sole source acquisition approach or to reconsider a competitive procurement.
