Description
Solicitation `Synopsis/Solicitation: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W9132T17T0077 and is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333999, All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing, size standard 500 employees. The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) has a requirement to procure Two (2) Kuka brand name or equal rail-mounted industrial grade robotic manipulator arms - one large, and one small - for use in automated construction research delivered to Engineer Research and Development Center, Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (ERDC-CERL), Champaign, Illinois. The large robotic manipulator arm would be used for the purpose of developing large scale three-dimensional (3D)-printing techniques. The small robotic manipulator arm would be used for the purpose of testing out the 3D-printing code developed in-house and doing development of 3D-printing at a smaller scale. Both arms shall be capable of being optionally mounted in fixed configurations. Please reference the attached written RFQ for specifications and all applicable provisions and clauses. Please provide responses to this notice no later than 18 September 2017 at 11:59 AM, Central Standard Time (CST), to: CERL-CT-QUOTES@usace.army.mil Telephone responses will not be accepted. *Note: In order to be eligible for award of a Government contract, vendors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), have no active exclusions, and complete representations and certifications.
