- Description
- The U.S. Government has an ongoing Research & Development (R&D) project for the development of equipment to handle, transfer, cut, washout and separate the washout fluid from the metal components of the 16 inch projectiles. This notice correlates with the draft Request for Proposal, W52P1J-17-R-0066. Drawings of this capability are included as Technical Information and can be accessed IAW 52.211-4502. A process overview and virtual demonstration will be conducted at the facilities of Gradient Technology in Elk River, MN on 03 October 2017 (See attached agenda for times). To clarify, there will be no actual equipment to view at the demonstration; rather, a presentation given describing the equipment. The presentation and equipment drawings are also available electronically to any interested parties. It can be accessed via Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) by any vendors qualified to access the Technical Data associated with Solicitation W52P1J-17-R-0066. Interested parties are encouraged to review the data prior to the demonstration and submit any preliminary questions associated with the equipment by 18 September 2017. Any questions and answers regarding the equipment will be made available to all upon release of the solicitation. All interested offerors who plan to attend the demonstration must register by 3:00PM Central Time on 18 September 2017. Registration shall be submitted to Ms. Bridget Kramer at Bridget.L.Kramer.civ@mail.mil. Any costs associated with attending the demonstration are the vendor's responsibility; no costs will be reimbursed by the Government. Registration shall include the full name of all attendees and the company they will be representing. All attendees shall be prepared to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement if requested. The Technical Information regarding this R&D Project contains information that has been provided for Administrative and Operational Use. Businesses are required to be certified by the Department of Defense, United States/Canada Joint Certification Office. If Offerors want to become certified in order to receive the Technical Information for this solicitation they must fill out a registration form at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp. An Offeror must submit a copy of the certified registration from (DD form 2345), Military Critical Technical Data Agreement. Restricted technical data will not be forwarded to a contractor who has not been certified. Due to a system complication, the attachments are unable to be uploaded with this notice. As soon as this is resolved, a modification to this special notice will make the attachments available.
