- This announcement serves as a synopsis issued for informational purposes only. This synopsis is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation nor is this notice a request for quotation. The Department is NOT requesting a quote or proposal in response to this synopsis. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) intends to award a Purchase Order sole source contract to Accubuild Construction, Inc. to provide specialized investigative construction services required in accomplishing effective structural repairs of interior building support columns, and providing a detailed documented investigation report. In addition, the repairs performed must be concisely monitored by the engineering firm, inspected, and certified upon completion. The DOE is using exemption to competition 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii), One Responsible source. This is a notice of intent for informational purposes only, and not a request for competitive proposals other then Accubuild Construction, Inc. No solicitation is available for this requirement. For the intent to make determination for there to be a competed requirement in the future, please send a vendor capability statement within seven (7) calendar days of publication of this notice to: karin.denburg@hq.doe.gov. Please note that telephone or email inquiries regarding this notice will not receive responses. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal or Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose.
