Description
PWS For Station Alerting Revised 30 August_ FA5270_17_Q_A112 Solicitation Fire Station Alerting System FFP Purchase, integration, installation and maintenance of a NFPA 1221 standards and will speed up 9-1-1 call processing by utilizing an IP based public address system.This new system will allow for future system expansion to support Text-to Speech voice messages, volume ramped alert tones, zoned station speakers, map lights, control lights, personnel doors, apparatus bay doors, and appliance shutoff. These features ensure firefighters are unimpeded during emergency response, increases security, eliminates hazards to personnel and vehicles, and waste. The Fire Station Alerting System must meet, 2015, International Building Code (IBC), the, 2015,International Existing Building Code (IBEC). UFC 1-200-01, paragraph 1-4.1, the National Electrical Code 70, 2017 (NFPA) and Nation Fire Protection Association's Standard for the Installation, Maintenance, and Use of Emergency Services Communication Systems and (NFPA) 1221 standards for the installation, Maintenance, and use of Emergency Services Communications Systems. This system must also support the Fire Stations and Dispatch centers at building 738, 739, 3489, 3579, 3640 and 52200. The new system must include multi-function desk sets, noise controllers, indoor and outdoor speakers, auditory and visual alerting. The new system will be integrated into the existing communications dispatch center to allow any or all fire stations to be alerted as required for emergency response. This system will be upgraded to a new IP based design for each Fire Station. Where necessary, the contractor will provide new wiring for the Fire Station Alerting System. The system will utilize the existing IP backbone currently in place at the Fire Stations and the contractor will integrate Station Alerting functionality to the existing Motorola dispatch consoles. The contractor shall provide a description of the training provided with the proposal submission. IAW PWS Dated 30 AUGUST 2017 "Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs."
