Description
THE PURPOSE OF THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY, IT IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR A QUOTE The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Pearl Harbor requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing the following installation services: CLIN 0001 Installation of SIMRAD brand commercial radars and equipment on multiple submarines at Pearl Harbor, HI and Apra Harbor, Naval Base Guam. Please refer to Attachment 001- Customer Supplied Items To Be Installed for a list of customer supplied items to be installed. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform the installation. Contractor shall install SIMRAD radar, validate operation, and train unit sailors on proper use of the radar. Connect cabling between SimRad MFD units, 4G Radome antenna and ships existing AIS unit. Interface provided SimRad system with ships existing heading sensor through a Furuno AD100 Converter. Government shall accomplish all hardware mounting details in their preferred locations onboard. Period Of Performance To Be Determined. The contractor is responsible for conducting business, between the hours of 0700-1700 Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. The contractor will not be reimbursed when the government facility is closed for the above reasons. Contractor personnel performing work under this contract must have base access. The contractor shall be responsible for safeguarding all government equipment, information and property provided for contractor use. At the close of each work period, government facilities, equipment, and materials shall be secured. All contract personnel attending meetings, answering Government telephones, and working in other situations where their contractor status is not obvious to third parties are required to identify themselves as such to avoid creating an impression in the minds of members of the public that they are Government officials. They must also ensure that all documents or reports produced by contractors are suitably marked as contractor products or that contractor participation is appropriately disclosed. Contractor personnel are required to obtain base access and coordinate shipboard access with each submarine, with NSSC PH coordinating as a liaison. All vendors, whom are able to provide this requirement, please respond to Kevin Young via email at kevin.g.young@navy.mil by 12:00 PM Hawaii Standard Time (6:00 PM EST) on Friday 08-September-2017.
