- The FAA is seeking competent and qualified small business contractors to replace approximately 6,225 ft. of 25 pair copper field cable at Nashville International Airport, TN. Work will include, but not be limited to the following: 1.Direct bury field cable, boring under the runway, and installing in existing conduit 2.Install grounding. 3.Back fill trenches and seed disturbed areas 4.Provide redline drawings. Work will be done in an operational airport and the contractor shall comply with all procedures, rules and regulations of the airport authorities including limitations on equipment, allowable work hours, and other issues to ensure uninterrupted operations. All work shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications. 1.This project is set aside for all small business concerns. 2.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237130, Power & Communication Line and Related Structures Construction. The small business size standard is $36.5 Million. 3.The project magnitude is between $150,000 and $250,000. 4.The date, time, meeting location, and point of contact for the site visit will be provided with the solicitation package. 5.The contractor receiving award is expected to perform at least 15% of the work utilizing their own employees. 6.Contractors must have an active registration in System Award Management (SAM) before award can be made and have NAICS code 237130 registered. Contractors can register at www.sam.gov/. AN OFFEROR MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO-GO CRITERIA IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A SOLICITATION PACKAGE: a.Using the past experience form (Attachment No.1), provide a listing of at least 3 past or current cable replacement/installation contracts/projects your firm has performed/is performing for construction efforts, in the same size (Between $150,000 and $250,000) and scope of this project. Contracts/projects must be either in process or within the last 3 years. Scope is described above. Similar work must include airports, FAA centers or other critical facilities. Offeror shall identify the contracting agency, (FAA, Other Federal, State, local governments, and private). You must provide the contract number or project identifier, which includes a reference point of contact and his/her current email and phone number. b.A letter from your financial institution, dated within the last 30 days that indicates you have adequate financial resources or a line of credit sufficient to finance this project. To be considered adequate the letter should indicate that you maintain six figure bank balance or more or have a line of credit sufficient to finance a six figure project. In addition, provide the financial institution name, address, telephone number and contact person. If required by your financial institution, please provide a separate statement, executed by an authorized representative of your firm, providing the FAA written authorization to verify financial information, to include account balances, with your financial institution. c.A letter from an approved bonding company confirming bonding capability. To be an approved bonding company, corporate sureties must appear on the list in Treasury Circular 570. d.A certificate of liability from your insurance company that shows you can meet the requirements identified in clause 3.4.1-12-Insurance-(Clause 3.4.1-12-Attachment No.2) e.Fully executed document security notice to prospective offerors (Attachment No.3) The information provided will also be used as part of the responsibility determination. FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE.
