- Description
- Solicitation questions: •1. 600,000 plus hours at l70??? Really would like to see the spec sheet used for this data... this is just referring to the expected hours of operation for the Helios brand lighting fixture. •a. Attached spec sheet for the Helios. •2. What is the EPA wind load requirement? Do not have this information. •3. Weight of the fixture? All research i have done shows that any new led replacement will be lighter that our current metal halide/high pressure sodium fixtures. •4. What is the bug rating? I do not have this information. Our goal is to use the minimum amount of light necesarry to provide adequate security to the facility. •a. B = back light - usually for roadway •b. U = up light, for airfields it must 0, dark sky compliance, which dod is trying to meet must be 0 this should be 0 because of our location relative to the air base. •c. G = glare, for airfield cannot exceed g2..must follow UFC for the application •5. Are you looking for 120 degree when asking for flood lights? •a. Line 0001 is 70 deg Med Type V, line 0002 is 30 deg Narrow Type V and line 0003 is 70 Med Type V. I have attached a lighting plan of our facility that shows where directional floods are facing. All other fixtures are down facing. •6. I see you are asking for anodized aluminum casting and that it is for corrosion. •a. Can you provide the corrosion spec? • i. Option 1: i want to confirm if our product that meets 1000hrs of salt spray testing using polyester powder coating that passed is acceptable. The heat-sink is anodized but the housing is powder coated. • ii. Option 2: i want to confirm if our product that uses zinc enriched coating that should pass as it is used for seaports currently. • iii. I cannot provide a specific corrosion specification. The goal would be to use the most durable product to cut down on failure due to the elements. These fixtures will be exposed to high humidity, rain, and uv. •7. Please explain the 600,000 hrs meaning for item "f"? We understand the l70 meaning, which we do meet. 600,000 hours is just an approximate life of the fixture before maintenance is required. •8. Are these lights replacing external floodlights or internal, overhead, warehouse lights? •a. These will be replacing external down facing flood lights, and directional flood lights •9. At what height are the lights mounted? •a. The lights are mounted at approximatly 100 feet. •10. Is there a brand name or part number available for reference, either of the existing lights or the proposed led replacements? •a. The HELIOS fixture (part numbers-LE-6-HBHC-470-50-HV-70, LE-6-HBHC-470-50-HV-30) is manufactured by Lightpolesplus. •b. The HMAO2 fixture ( part number-HMLED2 12 4K AH G AW). The other fixture (part number-ACP2LED 910A 480 65 5K YK GY 0463), is made by a company called American Electric Lighting. •c. The part numbers (CLED-4M-G-40-70-XO-X-05-X, and CLED-4M-G-40-70-XO-X-03-X) are manufactured by Carolina High Mast. The Part number (USLED-02-G-01-50-70-N-1-GC) is manufactured by a company called US LED. •11. How were the lumen requirements determined? •a.
