Description
Multi-Band Multi-Mission Paper Multi-Band Multi-Mission RFI Notice This is a Request for Information (RFI); there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. This Request for Information is published for market research purposes only. The Government does not intend to pay for the information solicited. This RFI is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements for the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC), Range and Network (RN) Division, Multi-Band Multi-Mission (MBMM) system. The Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Range and Network (RN) Division has identified a need to increase capacity, flexibility, interoperability, automation and resiliency of space operations and spacelift. There is an increasing number of satellites and launches projected in the foreseeable future, and with that comes an increased demand on the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) and the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS). A Multi-Band Multi-Mission (MBMM) system is one conceptual solution to the growing number of US government satellites and may augment or replace the current AFSCN and LTRS infrastructure by providing the ability to perform key Telemetry, Tracking and Control (TT&C) capabilities and radar functions. The MBMM system should be able to simultaneously contact multiple space vehicles across multiple frequency bands and provide tracking radar to support the current and future needs of the AFSCN and LTRS. Please see the attached Multi-Band Multi-Mission (MBMM) Paper (covering Background, Need, Requested Response, Instructions, MBMM Objectives, Interest Items, and MBMM Key Requirements), Attachment 1 entitled Capability Survey and Attachment 2 Definition of Technology Readiness Levels. See Attachments: SMC FBO Notice - RFI Multi-Band Multi-Mission (MBMM) Paper
