- The Atlanta VA Medical Center, Center for Visual and neurocognitive Rehabilitation (151R), 1670 Clairmont Road, Decatur GA, 30033 has a requirement to purchase 80 iPhone SE 32 GB Space Gray phones with 80 Apple Care+ for iPhone SE. This is Brand name or equal. See brand name or equal description below: Part Number Description Quantity MP7T2LL/A Apple iPhone SE 32GB Space Gray 80 none AppleCare+ for each iPhone SE 80 Background: These phones are needed to support the project titled Improved Mobility in Rural Veterans Using the Apple Watch. Incorporating the successfully implemented Tele-Health exercise program and in partnership with Apple and the VA Mobile Initiative, the VA proposes to implement a simple, user-friendly health technology to 1. Track the real world physical function and movement of profiles of rural Veterans and 2. Implement individualized activity regimens that have been demonstrated the improvement of physical function, health and quality of life. The program has demonstrated that Veterans are receptive to this type of in-home technology to prescribe physical activity and maintain a high level of adherence and engagement. Equally important, these programs are successful at improving cardiovascular fitness, increasing mobility, improving self-reported measures of physical function as well as sleep profiles. Scope: The vendor will provide the required items with all of the salient characteristics necessary for this requirement. The phones must be compatible and pair easily with Apple watches. See below for detailed salient characteristics: Salient Characteristics: Pairs easily with the VA purchased Apple Watches no known serious hardware or software issues between devices Collects and stores health data/information in an encrypted format (AES 256-bit) Creates backup of VA purchased Apple Watch health data/information in an encrypted format (AES 256-bit) Xcode development environment integration iOS mobile operating system compatibility Swift programming language support HealthKit and ResearchKit compatible Ability to interface with Activity and Workout applications on the VA purchased Apple Watches Ability to update participant health data and body measurements for more accurate activity data collection. Ability to log health data autonomously Collects and stores health data/information in an encrypted format (AES 256-bit) and transmits data in an encrypted format Ability to run existing Innovation study-specific application software (i.e., Xcode/Swift/iOS compatibility) Ability to backup activity data/information from Apple Watch without a cellular connection (using Bluetooth) Rechargeable battery with at least 14 hours of battery life Moisture resistant Vendor/Contractor Requirements The vendor shall ensure equipment is within specifications Tasks: The vendor shall complete the following tasks in support of this delivery. Ship equipment Deliverables: The vendor agrees to the deliver the equipment no more than 30 days after purchase order complete. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification (large business, small business, 8(a), SDVOSB, etc.), relative to NAICS code 334220 (size standard of 1250 employees). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Based on responses to this synopsis, the Government may issue a RFQ. Performance Period: 8/23/2017 11/22/2017. Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however; any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Friday, 8/4/2017 by 2:00 PM EST.
