- Process Optimization Purchase Description Presolicitation Synopsis AR-125 DE-FASTENING SYSTEMS OPTIMIZATION FA8224-17-R-0091 309 TH MAINTENANCE SUPPORT GROUP (MXSG) NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: This is a pre-solicitation synopsis in accordance with FAR 5.201. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. This synopsis is prepared in accordance with guidance found in FAR 5.207, and is prepared for the purpose of notifying potential offerors of an upcoming solicitation for service or supplies. The solicitation for this requirement will be posted under the same reference number as stated above. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps on a regular basis for the solicitation along with any amendments. The Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC), Specialized Contracting Office (PZIMB), intends to negotiate with Hartwig Maintenance Company, on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to procure a services for the Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Okuma machines located in Bldg. 510 at Hill Air Force Base services include but not limited to technical operating system support, general maintenance, and On-The-Job (OTJ) training. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES. In support of the 309 th Maintenance Support Group (MXSG) at Hill Air Force Base (HAFB) for a service contract to perform on-site maintenance for the De-fastening Systems (De-fastener), model # AR-125. The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, parts, supplies, equipment, lodging, transportation, and other necessary items needed to perform the required services on the De-fastener located in building 265, 5840 Engine Lane, HAFB. The government maintenance personnel and other government personnel as designated may be present at all times. The Contractor shall maintain the De-fastener to specifications in accordance with (IAW) Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals. BASIC SERVICES. Process Optimization - The contractor shall provide process optimization on the De-Riveter located in building 265. This shall include process script optimization and calibration efficiencies. The Contractor shall address the following during the process optimization: •· Change the program to not turn off spindle between holes in drill program. •· Eliminate the second retract in the drill program •· Fix fault never call tool change with tool in the spindle •· Fix fault tool improperly clamped •· Fix part failed to clamp up error on south robot •· Optimize defasten program •· Optimize drill countersink program Pendant - The contractor shall provide, install and setup the KEBA T-20 Pendant Assembly also the installation and setup of the pendant at the De-Riveter located in building 265. The solicitation will be posted under the same number FA8224-17-R-0091 on FedBizOps from July 5, 2017 through July 22, 2017.
