Description
The Naval Special Warfare Command is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement to furnish and install one baffle system; see below for the product description. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 326199. THERE IS NO POSTED SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for quotes; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. If your organization has the potential capacity to support this requirement, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort. No feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to fulfill this requirement are invited to submit a response to this RFI by August 01, 2017. All responses under this RFI must be emailed to NSWKO2@socom.mil Product Description Naval Special Warfare Command Quarter Deck Interior Security Upgrades 1.0 OBJECTIVE: The Contractor shall provide the personnel, management, materials, equipment and facilities not otherwise provided by the Government necessary to upgrade security measures of the Quarter Deck watch station area in Building (to be disclosed after contract award), Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek - Fort Story as described below. 1.1 BACKGROUND: Naval Special Warfare Group TWO requires construction of secure bullet resistant rated service area on the Quarter Deck to include glass partitions with service window and installation of bullet resistant rate panels to existing desk and surrounding wall area to ensure the safety of Watch personnel. 2.0 DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: 2.1 The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and disposal necessary to provide and install an American fabricated (UL) Level 4 rated TH600 frame system w/ a level 4 speaker and stainless steel cash tray to sit on existing countertop in the NSWG-2 Quarterdeck (QD) desk area. There is currently not an existing baffle system in place. 2.2 The contractor shall provide drawings of proposed installation for approval prior to commencement of installation. 2.3 Installation Requirements: 2.3.1 A laydown area for contractor use will be identified by the requiring activity representative prior to start of installation. 2.3.2 Installation shall be conducted during weekend hours to minimize productivity loss. 2.3.3 If for any reason, contractor/supplier is unable to complete the assembly and placement of all unloaded items before the end of the workday, the contractor/supplier shall be responsible for moving these items to the designated laydown area until the next available installation date. 2.4 The contractor shall provide and install the following: 2.4.1 Level 4 speaker and stainless steel cash tray to sit on existing countertop. 2.4.2 Additional Level 4 fiberglass wall armor panels to backside of existing desk and the two 36'' and 78'' surrounding walls. 2.4.3 One (1) custom fitted 1/4" thick, Level 4 bullet resistant, polycarbonate Glass Clad with five (5) interior enclosures. The Glass Clad panel shall be installed into a ¾" x 4" ballistic aluminum frame capture. The aluminum frame shall have a powder coated finish. The five (5) interior enclosures shall consist of: 2.4.3.1 One (1) - 48"W x 54"H fixed window unit 2.4.3.2 Three (3) - 27"W x 54"H fixed window units 2.4.3.3 One (1) - 12"W x 54"H fixed window unit 2.4.3.4 One (1) - 29"W x 65"H Transaction window unit. The Transaction window unit shall have a stainless steel "Talk-Thru" surface mounted deal tray with an aluminum filler.
