- The Special Projects Branch of the Seattle District contracting division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (hereinafter Seattle District or Special Projects Branch) plans to solicit an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the award of a Single Contract for a Project entitled, "Design-Repair Sanitary Sewer System Multipurpose training and Exercise Facility (MTEF), Yakima Training Center", Joint Base-Lewis-McChord, Washington. Solicitation/IFB number W912DW-17-B-0016 will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov, on or about 22 August 2017. The solicitation will be an IFB. Bids will be due no sooner than 30 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resulting contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract. Period of Performance: (NTP) + 270 Calendar days Description of Work (Physical Characteristics) U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Special Projects Branch Contracting Office, located at JBLM, WA, requires the contractor to supply all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials to perform all work in strict accordance with the contract specifications, this statement of work, and identified drawings provide a repair to the sanitary sewer system for the MTEF facility at the YTC in Yakima, WA. The repair includes installation of a water main backflow preventer vault, 400 feet of gravity sewer pipe, three 12,000 gallons septic tanks, piping and valves and upgrading two inactive 0.3 acre sewage ponds. The sewage pond upgrade includes demolition of existing pond piping and a PVC membrane liner, raising the level of an existing dike, and installing new piping and HDPE pond liners. The solicitation documents for this requirement will be issued in electronic format only and will be made available online via the FBO website at www.fbo.gov under the subject solicitation number.
