Description
Request for Information - Sources Sought Synopsis Description: The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC), Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Huachuca Division, located at Ft. Huachuca, Arizona, is seeking information on sources, including small business sources that can provide the following government requirements: Salient Characteristics: > Product: MARC 2B Hat Mass Production Run Producing 350 circuit boards with all surface mounted components except for a through hole mounted Teensy 3.2 microcontroller. A single board design will be provided with the following components: * 128x64 OLED Display (https://www.adafruit.com/product/326)** * ChronoDot-Real Time Clock (https://www.adafruit.com/product/255)** * Adafruit Ultimate GPS Breakout (https://www.adafruit.com/product/746)** * Teensy 3.2 Microcontroller (https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/teensy31.html) * Recessed buttons (https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=2-1825098-0-ND) * Equivalent surface mounted version of the N-Channel QFET MOSFETs (part number: FQP30N06L; datasheet: http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/149/FQP30N06L-1009543.pdf) * 10k ohm resistors * Neopixel that are RGB 5050 LED with Integrated Driver Chip (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1312)** * Equivalent surface mounted version of Analog Temperature sensor - TMP36 (https://www.adafruit.com/product/165) * Equivalent surface mounted version of Voltage Regulator with an output voltage of 3.3V (https://www.adafruit.com/product/2165) * Note that the ** means that these are breakout boards but only the main chips on these boards are surface mounted to the circuit board (i.e. making the overall footprint smaller). - Timeframe: have 100 units at the end of December 2017 and have the remaining 250 units by end of March 2017 - Footprint/Size of Board: approximately the size of a daughter board for a raspberry pi 3b with a maximum size of 4.3 inches in length and 3 inches in width. - Constraints: This board must be able to be mounted on raspberry pi 3b's header pins (i.e. a daughter board for the raspberry pi 3b). > Product: MARC 2B Hat Redesign Design a single circuit board, which consists of the following breakout boards and components surface mounted (except for a through hole mounted Teensy 3.2 microcontroller) for optimal size and footprint (i.e. small size): * One 128x64 OLED Display (https://www.adafruit.com/product/326) * One ChronoDot-Real Time Clock (https://www.adafruit.com/product/255) * One Adafruit Ultimate GPS Breakout (https://www.adafruit.com/product/746) * One Teensy 3.2 Microcontroller (https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/teensy31.html) * Two recessed buttons (https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=2-1825098-0-ND) * One equivalent surface mounted version of the following transistor: > N-Channel QFET MOSFETs (part number: FQP30N06L; datasheet: http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/149/FQP30N06L-1009543.pdf) * One 10k ohm resistors * One Neopixel that are RGB 5050 LED with Integrated Driver Chip (https://www.adafruit.com/product/1312) * One equivalent surface mounted version of Analog Temperature sensor TMP36 (https://www.adafruit.com/product/165) * One equivalent surface mounted version of Voltage Regulator with an output voltage of 3.3V (https://www.adafruit.com/product/2165) - Timeframe: end of October 2017 - Footprint/Size of Board: approximately the size of a daughter board; For a raspberry pi 3b with a maximum size of 4.3 inches in length and 3 inches in width. - Constraints: This board must be able to be mounted on raspberry pi 3b's header pins (i.e. a daughter board for the raspberry pi 3b). This is not a request for proposal and no contract shall be awarded from this sources sought synopsis. This sources sought is being utilized as a market survey for information only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of potential vendors who can support this requirement. The North American Industry Code (NAICS) is 334412, Circuit Boards, and the Federal Supply Code (FSC) is 3670. Submission Instructions: If you believe, your firm can provide the aforementioned criteria, please submit a technical capability statement including the following information: 1) Company name 2) Company mailing address 3) Company socioeconomic status 4) Percentage of work performed by your company or subcontractor 5) If subcontracting, socioeconomic status of the subcontractor 6) Past performance in supplying these products 7) Suggestions on additional equipment necessary 8) Suggestions on utilizing a different NAICS or PSC. Capability statements can be submitted in your own format and shall be 3 pages or less. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. Large businesses can respond to this announcement but may consider teaming with a small business.
