No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or on any follow up information. NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The purpose for this synopsis is to conduct market research to help identify capable, potential sources and to establish if this requirement can be set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB). NAICS Code: 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance Small Business Size Standard: $20.5M Product Service Code (PSC): J065 Maintenance and Repair of Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies GENERAL INFORMATION: The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a time and materials contract for Biomedical Engineering Technician (BMET) contractor support to assist to the VISN 20 Biomedical Engineering Department accomplish pending corrective maintenance, pending preventative maintenance, and impending preventative maintenance work orders on multiple complex electronic and medical systems assigned to biomedical engineering. Work may be performed at all 8 facilities and surrounding clinics as required. See attachment for list of facilities. To be considered capable of performing under this contract, contractor must have the following qualifications: Associates degree or higher, or equivalent (e.g., military training), as an electronics technician and/or Biomedical Engineering Technician (BMET). Minimum of three (3) years hospital/healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance. Contractor will be required to provide evidence of training, certifications, experience, and other qualifications for each biomedical engineering technician performing services under this contract. Evidence must include a list a list of types of equipment on which contracted personnel have experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance. INSTRUCTIONS TO RESPOND TO SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Any SDVOSB or VOSB vendor interested and capable of meeting this requirement should provide a written statement to the Contracting Officer. Vendor response must include at a minimum: Name of Firm Point of Contact Name, Phone Number, and E-Mail Address CAGE Code and DUNS Number to show proof of registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov Short Description of Capabilities Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence of the Vendor s capability of meeting this requirement. Please note, responses will be shared within the Government and project team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence.
