- Description
- SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The Contractor shall deliver the all hardware and software required for the Parable Mobile Application to provide the following functionality: Infrared-Based Computer Vision Technology for Wound Measurement Using 3D infrared scanner attachments to commodity hardware (i.e. Apple iPad Mini), Parable s mobile application (app) features a tool to better document wound size a critical part of any wound care program. These wound measurements are more convenient and accurate in leveraging precise infrared scanning, and more consistent across the different clinicians performing wound measurements with standardized organization-wide measurement algorithms. Customizable Mobile Wound Documentation Templates In addition to automated measurements made possible by the computer vision technology, Parable s mobile app enables clinicians to document key aspects of a wound at the point of care, in a standardized manner. The documentation workflow is completely customizable and can be built from scratch or on top of one of the default (academically backed) frameworks. Treatment Recommendation Engine Parable s treatment recommendation engine assists with education and standardization of an organization s wound care treatment formulary/protocols. That is, the formulary/protocols are converted into customized rule sets to drive the recommendation engine, which can present goals and care plan information to clinicians at the point of care (e.g. given a wound of a particular size with a certain percentage of necrotic tissue, VASDHS recommends using a debriding agent such as santyl with a dosage of x grams.) Mobile Patient History and Messaging To better equip clinicians caring for wounds at the bedside, Parable s mobile app also provides a history of previous visits (i.e. previous scores, measurements, clinical attributes, treatment) along with a gallery of previous images and a log of all notes and communications for a patient s particular case. Offline Mode To address situations where there is limited/no network access, Parable s mobile app allows for documentation with or without network access. Upon regaining network access, the app dynamically syncs new data to secure servers. The Contractor shall deliver the all hardware and software required for the Parable Web Application to provide the following functionality: Analytical Patient Management Dashboard by Organization Tier Parable s web dashboard is the central control for clinical and administrative managers to proactively manage their wound patient population. Searchable/sortable patient lists allow users to quickly access relevant patients to track, and the summary views provide a breakdown of patient healing performance by relevant tiers or facets (e.g. healing progress by facility, floor, unit, etc). Flexible Reporting Capabilities Parable s web application allows for build-your-own-report level of granularity on the patient and case level, as well as population-wide summary reports to cater to different reporting needs within the organization. Smart Alert Monitoring Parable s backend systems are also capable of delivering custom smart alerts to proactively notify relevant team member of particular thresholds reached or patient statuses. Below are examples of common alerts for clinical managers in Parable: Stagnating wound alert notify if a patient s wound has not improved by x percentage points within a given period of time (e.g. 2% in 2 weeks) Declining wound alert notify if a patient s wound has has declined by x BWAT points between visits (e.g. dropped 10 points since last week s visit) Missed visit alert notify if a patient has not received documentation in x days (e.g. patient has not had any documentation in 10 days) Comprehensive Patient History and Messaging Each patient s case record in Parable features a complete, longitudinal history of past documentation (i.e. scores, measurements, clinical attributes, treatment), a gallery view with the option for a timelapse playback of a wound s visual progression, and the chronicle of notes and communications pertaining to a case. DELIVERABLES: The following section will describe in detail services specifically provided by Parable Health. Pre-Launch Provisioning and Customization Parable staff will collaborate with VASDHS administrative and clinical leads to provision and customization work. The custom development and configuration efforts include: Organization-specific facets (software to mirror org structure) Organization workflow preferences (e.g. consent signatures, review processes, etc.) Clinical documentation templates Dashboard look-and-feel Reporting look-and-feel 5 days of Parable staff time for configuration support VistA Integration Alignment Parable staff will collaborate with VASDHS administrative and clinical leads to ensure VistA integration is designed and configured to the requirements and preferences of VASDHS. Initial User Creation Parable staff will provision the initial Parable user account for the primary administrator, who can invite other users accordingly. Optionally, VASDHS can provide Parable staff with a specification of users to add (given a pre-defined user creation template from Parable) for Parable to programmatically add in bulk. Initial Patient & Case Record Creation Once provisioned in Parable, VASDHS staff members will be able to add new patient/case records in the system. That said, should VASDHS require assistance seeding the Parable environment with existing patients, VASDHS can provide Parable staff with a specification of patients/cases to add (given a pre-defined case creation template from Parable) for Parable to programmatically add in bulk. Training Parable will perform onsite training for a designated group of clinical super users. Go-Live Support The following on-site go-live & training support shifts have been purchased and will be provided by Parable Health as part of this project. A shift is defined as one, eight-hour period for one Parable Health associate. Training & Go Live Day Shifts Type of Shift Included in Scope Day 2
