- DESCRIPTION: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg is conducting market research to seek eligible contractors to furnish effort including labor, material, and facilities as may be required to evaluate and repair the items as specified within this notice.\ \ The Sources Sought Notice is for the evaluation and repair of: ENGINE, DIESEL, NSN 2815-01-560-7730, P/N 6LY2A-STP SURC, quantity 4 each (OEM: YANMAR America Corp.) \ All responsible sources that are an OEM-authorized repair facility for this item may identify their interest and provide capability statements in response to this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within ten days after date of publication of this Sources Sought Notice will be considered by the Government. \ Submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the Government assumes NO financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The Government will NOT pay for any information submitted in response to this announcement. The results from this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. Any source that is an OEM-authorized repair facility still requires government approval/certification as a DOP (Designated Overhaul Point). NAVSUP WSS will not delay any awards while source approvals are pending if there are any fully approved and capable repair sources available. \ The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this item is 333618.
