WWR RCC RFI SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT The Regional Contracting Office - National Capital Regional (RCO-NCR), Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA is seeking sources for Wounded Warrior Regiment Recovery Care Coordinator (RCC) Support Services. INTRODUCTION: The Wounded Warrior Regiment is seeking information for potential sources for Wounded Warrior Regiment Recovery Care Coordinator (RCC) Support Services. VA Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center, Palo Alto, CA BACKGROUND: In accordance with Public Law 110-181, National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008, Department of Defense Instruction 1300.24, and Secretary of the Navy Instruction 1740.5, requires the Marine Corps to have Recovery Care Coordinators located across the country to help the Wounded Ill or Injured (WII) Marines and their families as they transition through the various phases of recovery. The RCC is one of the first non-medical points of contact the WII marine and their family will have with the support network to ensure a smooth transition either back to full duty, or to the civilian community. RCCs shall be located at various major CONUS and OCONUS Marine Corps bases or stations and military medical facilities. RCCs must be available to WII Marines and their families whether they are assigned to the Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR) or remain with their operational units. Historically, the Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment manages and maintains a caseload level of approximately 1,000 cases at any given point. The average monthly WII caseload is about 1,000 WIIs and, although it may vary with location and type of cases being assigned, each RCC average caseload has been 25 cases at any given point.
