- Department of Veterans Affairs Seeking Office Space The Department of Veterans Affairs desires lease space with minimum 14,000 usable square feet of office space for administrative purposes. The space must be handicap accessible in according with the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (4 CFR 101-19.6, App A) and ready for occupancy immediately. On-site parking for a minimum of 70 vehicles is required including 2 designated handicapped parking spaces specifically for VA usage. The VA requires a full service lease for a five (5) year firm term with a five (5) year option period for a total of ten (10) years. All proposed space must be within or fronting the following delineated area: Northern boundary falling within the area contained between exits 137 to exit 146 of Interstate 81. Starting at exit 137 of Interstate 81, extending South along East 460 to Apperson Drive, including Route 419 and Starkey Road. At the intersection of US 220, turning North along Franklin Road to Williamson Road Northeast ending at Interstate 81 exit 146. Interested offerors must contact Contract Specialist Kambeth Powell via e-mail at kambeth.powell@va.gov or by mail to: Kambeth Powell, Hampton VAMC, 100 Emancipation Drive, Bldg. 27, Hampton, VA, 23667. Interested offerors must submit the address, property description, available square footage, and photographs. Also a map or proof that the proposed property is within the delineated area is required. Contact is required by 4:30 pm EST on August 14, 2017. The Federal Government is limited by law (40 USC 278a, as amended 10-1-81) to pay no more than the appraised fair rental value for space. Please note: A market survey of properties offered for lease will be conducted by VA personnel. This advertisement is not a solicitation for offers, nor is it a request for proposals.
