- Description
- The Government intends to issue a bridge contract Perkins Technical Services, Inc. (06AE7) to continue work being performed on long term contract SPE7M1-14-D-0013. This contract will have a period of performance ranging six (6) months from the bridge contract award date. This action will be completed by issuance of a sole source award through a new contract. The contract award is for two NSNs, 6130-01-577-7393 and 6130-01-578-4483. Both items are power supplies, which are used to power the Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS). This action is being pursued to ensure continued coverage of cage and part numbered NSN listed above while the successor long term contract initiative is being evaluated and subsequently awarded. The current long-term contract is scheduled to end on or before May 6, 2019. Information regarding the bridge contract can be obtained from the primary point of contact Eric Snow ( eric.snow@dla.mil ). This notice of intent is a solicitation for a bridge contract awarded to the approved source contractor Perkins Technical Services, Inc. (06AE7). This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source require acquisition of the part from the approved source. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only the approved sources under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1). All terms and conditions as indicated in the current contract, SPE7M1-14-D-0013, will remain the same for the bridge contract.
