- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to University of Washington, 4333 Brooklyn Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98195-0001. The purpose of this acquisition is requesting historical isolates from the archives: The vendor will document the isolates available for the years requested (1986 - 2010). CDC will select isolates from regional lists based on associated data and antibiotic resistant values. The vendor will • retrieve isolates from their archive, • sub-culture and duplicate the isolates, • prove viability, • transfer innoculate to storage media, freeze, • ship to CDC CASPIR. • Two sub-cultures will be submitted to CDC. n accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 541720 - Research and Development in Social Sciences and Humanities. This is a notice of intent and not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunity website. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements for the SARE may submit their capability/qualifications and other supporting information to Priscilla Turner at PBTurner@cdc.gov on or before Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 9am Eastern Time. All information received on or before Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 3pm Eastern Time of this notice will be considered by the Government to determine if the more than one firm can meet the Government's requirements and is capable of providing technically acceptable services. A determination not to compete the described requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
