Description
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of FAR part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and therefore the Government will utilize simplified procedures for soliciting competition, evaluation, and award documentation and notifications that comply with FAR Parts 12 and 13. This is a small business set-aside. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under RFQ# M17PS00045. The United States Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), on behalf of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), has a requirement for meeting space and equipment for the 2017 BOEM Information Transfer Meeting (ITM) to be held in the New Orleans, Louisiana statistical area for three (3) days from August 22-24, 2017. ITMs bring together contractors, scientists, BOEM staff, industry, and interested stakeholders. The purpose is to foster sharing of information among participants about current research, accomplishments, or issues of concern to BOEM. The presentations at ITMs generally pertain to the BOEM Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) oil and natural gas, marine minerals, and renewable energy programs, but in a broader sense, also address regional environmental, social, or economic concerns, or report on current OCS industry activities or technologies. The Government anticipates awarding a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Purchase Order as a result of this solicitation. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-83. It is the offeror ¿s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 721110, entitled Hotels (except Casino Hotels) and Motels, with the small business size standard of $30 Million.
