Description

This pre-solicitation notice is to inform potential offerors that the Canandaigua, NY VA Medical Center will be posting an Invitation for Bid (VA242-17-B-0803) on or about July 14, 2017 to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to replace exiting roofing, brick, mortar, flashing, setting bed, terracotta masonry, associated weatherproofing and finishes on building 36 at the Canandaigua, NY VA Medical Center Campus. It has been determined that there are qualified firms in accordance with Public Law 109-461 that are capable of performing under NAICS Code 238140, "Masonry Contractors", with a size standard of $15.0M. Therefore this procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The estimated construction value of this is between $250,000 and $500,000. Information regarding the scheduled site visit will be stated in the Solicitation. Bid bonding will be required to respond to the IFB once released. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIAL Solicitation materials consisting of the Information for Bid Details, Specifications, Drawings and Contract Forms will be available on http://www.fedbizopps.gov in electronic format only. These should be available on or about July 21, 2017. All interested parties (subs & primes) should register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov as an "Interested Vendor" so that others will know of your interest in participating in this procurement. A Bidder's mailing list, list of interested parties and/or list of attendees at site visits WILL NOT be prepared nor distributed by the Contracting Officer. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. By registering to "Add to Watch List"; you will be notified by of any new amendments that have been issued and posted. No other notification of amendments will be provided. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers as prescribed by FAR 52.215-1 Instructions to Offerors - Competitive Acquisition. Signed amendments may be provided to the Contracting Officer in person at the bid opening.
