This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for quote (RFQ) and it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make the appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their Small Business Administration (SBA) size classification in relation to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22 is seeking sources to provide the following medical equipment to upgrade the existing Biotek CYT3MV imaging reader, serial # 14031919 (BIOTEK CYT3MV Brochure) to a CYT3MFV located at the VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS) Research Department: Service kit upgrade CYT3 filter, part # 1220007 Filter block assembly blue/green, part # 8040501 Labor and installation. All interested offerors who are capable of providing this upgrade shall provide a written response to this notice and include the following: Company name, Address, Point of contact, Phone, fax, and email, DUNS number, Cage Code, Tax ID Number, Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business [NOTE: If you are a SDVOSB or VOSB, you must submit your certification from the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) (https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/)], Provide a copy of your company s current Representations and Certifications from www.sam.gov, Provide evidence your firm is capable of providing the equipment and installation for the Biotek equipment. Firms shall provide the following information on current and/or previous contracts in which you have provided this equipment. Furthermore, the Government may reach out to your listed point of contact to verify information provided in your response: Contract number Facility s Name and Address Point of contact, to include name, title, phone number, and email of the facility in which you have contracted with. If possible, provide an estimate cost for this upgrade. Please note current market research indicates Biotek is the only authorized entity who is capable of performing the installation and upgrade of the CYT3MV imaging reader. As such, interested parties must provide compelling evidence their firm has the knowledge, skills, and authorization to perform the upgrade. All responses must be received no later than June 28, 2017, 12:00 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). When responding via email, ensure the following title is within the subject line of the email: RFI# VA262-17-N-1219: CYT3MV UPGRADE - VASDHS. Important information: The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
