Description
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY This Request for information (RFI) is for the purpose of identifying contractors that possess the capabilities outlined below. In order to better understand the seismic hazard at Joes Valley Dam, Emery County, Utah, Reclamation is conducting technical studies to analyze the subsurface in the vicinity of the dam. Reclamation anticipates awarding a contract to identify, analyze, and interpret data relevant to determining the stress field in the vicinity of Joes Valley, Utah (within a radius of approximately 60 km), and is conducting market research to identify companies that have the interest and ability to do this work. The project will include identifying all available relevant data from sources including professional society publications, state agencies, universities, the world stress map database, and oil and gas operators and service companies, and then analyzing and interpreting the data to determine the stress field in the area, including any spatial variation. Types of data to be considered include, but are not limited to, image logs, caliper logs, sonic logs, and microseismic data. The project is also anticipated to include examining the geologic literature to determine what is known about the temporal evolution of the regional stress field from the Jurassic Period to the present. The project lead must have the following qualifications: -Master's degree or higher in Petroleum Geology, Petrophysics, Geophysics, Sedimentology, or a related field -10+ years of experience in well log interpretation, including image log interpretation, and stress field analysis in the western United States. -Access to and experience with WellCAD or equivalent software. Please include in your response information about the education and experience of all proposed project personnel, past experience on similar projects, and the proposed software package(s) that would be used to analyze the data. INSTRUCTION FOR RFI SUBMISSION: Interested parties may submit a response in an electronic format only via email to vking@usbr.gov no later than 27 June 2017 2:00 pm MDT. Electronic files should be in Microsoft Office Word or PDF format. All information should be UNCLASSIFIED material only. Respondents should include as part of their submission: a.A synopsis of the company's capabilities to provide qualified personnel to provide the services throughout the 17 western states. b. DUNS Number c. Company Name d.Company Address e.Business size, SDVOSB, HUBZone, or Woman owned status, as validated via the System for Award Administration (SAM). All offers must register on the SAM located at http://www.SAM.gov f.Company point of contact, phone and email address. Any company proprietary information must be marked as such, the RFI information should not exceed a total of 20 one-sided 8 1/2x11 pages, with one inch margins, and font no smaller than 12 point.
