THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 20, is conducting market research to identify potential sources which can provide for an upcoming requirement. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing. The size standard for this NAICS to be considered a small business is no more than 1,000 employees. The VA s preference for any potential procurement is for a VETBIZ verified SDVOSB or VOSB. Any equal item must meet or exceed the following characteristics and have the documentation to prove it. Salient Characteristics: Must be able to conduct simple, accurate and repeatable visual screening tests in a few minutes Provide ability to screen under a variety of conditions, including monocular, binocular, near, distance, and daytime. Must be lightweight, portable and include an LED lighting system Tests to be included: Adult and pediatric visual acuities, color and depth perception, as well as vertical and lateral phorias can be tested. Visual screening and peripheral vision test standards must meet standards set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Potential candidates having the capabilities necessary to provide the above stated equipment are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice via e-mail to Laura Davis at laura.davis5@va.gov no later than 0600 PDT 26 June 2017. RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: company name, address, and business size; point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address; suggested equipment information including manufacturer, model and delivery schedule; whether system is presently offered on a current GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract.
