Description

The U.S. Government seeks expressions of interest for new lease space for a supporting and administrative office space for the clinical and laboratory spaces near or at the same building, where National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Extramural Activities conducts clinical research of universal influenza vaccine development activities. The lease term requirement is for 5 years and 5 months firm through February 28, 2023. the government may request an option to terminate lease prior to the expiration date. The space is to be located in Gaithersburg Maryland, not to exceed 2,618 rentable saure feet (rsf), and must be functional and efficient while providing a safe and comfortable environment for all users. The Government requires space to be available within the delineated area. The space must be fully serviced. The Government seeks information pertainining to potential space availability that will satisfy the Government's future requirement. The Government is considering an alternative space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternative space that potentially can satisfy the Government's requirements. This request for information is for planning purposes only and does not constitute an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or represent any obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your responses to this expression of interest (EOI) will be treated as information only. The information provided may be used in developing an acquisition strategy, statements of work or objectives, and performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive infromation contained in their response. The Government does not intent to pay for the information submitted. The folloing are other factors for consideration of space: * Proximity to public transportation * Parking for 12 employees * Efficient space layout and floor pates * Security considerations in place (Lobby, loading dock access, parking, etc) Offered space must meet Government requiremnts for fire safety, accessibility, seismic and sustainability standards per the terms of the Lease. A fully serviced lease is required. Offered space shall not be in the 100-year flood plain area. DELINEATED AREA The Government's space needs must be located within a delineated area defined by the following street boundaries in Gaithersburg, Maryland: NORTH: Game Preserve Road WEST: Clopper road (Roite 117) SOUTH: Metropolitan Grove Road EAST: Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Highway (I-270) KEY FACOTR: Less than a half mile of existing space at 9 West Watkins Mill Road.
