Description

This is a brand name RFI for renewal of the ERDAS Imagine Educational Core Level 2 Software Annual License (15 seat) at the USAF Academy, Colorado Springs, CO. The Period of Performance is 12 months from 01 July 2017 to 30 June 2018. ERDAS Imagine Higher Education software produced by Hexagon US Federal was originally purchased as part of the USAF Academy curriculum development in the use of remote sensing systems and imagery analysis. This software continues to be central to the basic and advanced Remote Sensing courses taught by the Department of Economics and Geosciences at USAFA. Course material, content and lessons are based around ERDAS Imagine. This software suite is now critical to the education mission with the vendor providing technical support and updates. This is the primary satellite imagery processing software used in upper level courses in geoscience classes. The ERDAS Imagine software is also important to having cadets attain their GEOINT certifications. Because this is the software of choice by the USAF world-wide, it will be used by all cadets at some point in their academics at USAFA and in their careers with the Air Force as officers. Vendors are encouraged to research the ERDAS Imagine product and to approach the software publisher for authority to resell prior to responding to this notice as a reseller. This notice is disseminated to offer fair opportunity to all vendors.
