Description
RFQ - Rotor Beater Mill The FDA requires contractor support to procure a Rotor Beater Mill SR 300B or equivalent mill. The mill shall be used to prepare food, drug, and nutritional supplement samples for analysis. The mill shall be able to provide effective and efficient particle size reduction (down to a fine grind) across a broad range of materials and samples including very hard material (yellow popcorn kernels) and fibrous material (hay, silage, feeds, etc.). The mill shall be able to accommodate cryogenic samples, provide heavy metal free size reduction, and shall be a bench-top model. In addition, the mill shall be safe, quiet, easy to use, and easy to clean. The required mill shall be able to fit a multitude of rotors and sieves to assure any type of material can undergo proper particle size reduction for proper analysis. The Contractor shall also provide installation of the mill. This is a brand name or equal requirement, in accordance with FAR 52.211-6. Please see the attached RFQ for complete details. Any parties interested in this requirement should thoroughly read the attached RFQ for technical specifications and submission instructions. Offerors must state how the offeror meets or exceeds all requirements outlined in the RFQ. The FDA intends to issue a firm fixed-price purchase order based on the lowest priced technically acceptable offer. Quotes shall include all descriptive material necessary in order to determine whether the proposed products meet all technical specifications. A technically acceptable quote addresses all salient characteristics and requirements and does not just quote the RFQ.
