Chapter 5 Amendment 2 to Solicitation W912JC-17-R-0005 is issued to provide answers to questions and to add Option 4, Install of Electrical and Air System in the Building 662 Bay. Question: What type of exisitng pipe is connected to the existing curb inlet? What is the size of the existing pipe connected to existing curb inlet? What is the pipes oreintation? Answer: It is corrugated 16" steel pipe and it exits out the back curb inlet towards the fence. Question: Below are the original specs, but the addendum changes it to have no copy. Questions after that. 0004:Install Digital Sign at Building 2005. 1 @ 68" x 140" x 16" (D/F, R/F Monument), Includes 3"reveal & 8" Base, Internally illuminated, painted 2 standard colors, Copy backed w 3/16" white plex, logo w F/S vinyl, Built to receive 2 EMC cabinets, Provided & installed by others, White LED's & power supply, 2 Pole / Base Mounted. Display Specifications, Product Line LED Pixel Pitch: 20.0mm, Matrix Size: 48 x 112, Viewing Area: 3' 1 13/16" x 7' 4 3/16", Cabinet Size: 3' 1 13/16" x 7' 4 3/16" x 7 7/8, Color: RGB, Color Processing: RGB 281 Trillion Levels-M, LED's per pixel: Red: 1 Green: 1 Blue: 1, Character Size: 5.5 Inches, # of Lines/Char. Electrical & Venting Requirements: AC Power Required: 120V, Total Boot Up Amps*: 13.3, Regular Operating Amps*: 3.85, Venting Requirement*: 253.81 CFM, provide pair of 2" conduits back to 2005 for power and comm. Installation / Fabrication: install concrete pad that will need to be poured for the new sign. The sign will also attached to a 4" metal pole that will be cemented in the ground. Do they envision the base to be brick to match the building, a metal pole cover or just concrete? Do they have color preferences for their two colors? It would appear from two runs of conduit that they may want fiberoptic communications. If so, how long is the run from the programming computer and where is it in the building? For example, does an electrician have to pull cable through ceilings, walls, etc.? Other forms of communications are available, wireless data (receiver at the sign) connecting to programming computer and available to schedule from a mobile phone, or radio frequency? The 4" pole specified may or may not be sufficient for the wind load. Answer: The digital display specification is what is critical. The cabinet design may vary. No lettering and a minimal cabinet. Part of this is for the sign company to provide a design or the General to coordinate work scopes. If something is inadequate for wind load, what is recommended? The may use existing footing or create a new. If a site visit is needed the MATOC Contractor may coordinate it with Maj Noah Diehl. Question: What is the planned size of the pre-cast box culvert for Item 002? Answer: --Based on the site visit the existing curb inlet is to be eliminated and new area inlet is to be installed. Use an area inlet assembly 2'-3" x3'-3" would be my recommendation. Question: Does this pre-cast box need to have any rip-rap placed at the ends and what class does it need to be? Answer: n/a Question: Does the pre-cast box need any geotextile fabric placed and what kind of fabric is needed?
