Description
•1.1. Scope : The contractor will be responsible for disassembling the current paint booth (28'L x 16'W x 12'H). Once the old paint booth has been disassembled, it must be palletized and then sent to the Supply Building shipping dock. The use of custom sized pallets will be necessary to accommodate for larger components. A new paint booth will then be installed in the same location as the previous. The dimensions of the new booth will be the same as the old one. The new paint booth will be shipped in multiple pieces on one large crate, which will require assembly. Description of Work : Contractor will be responsible for all lock-out and tag-out of electrical components prior to commencing work. Coordinate with the Fire Department and Bio-Environmental to temporarily shut off (or block) the fire suppression system (sprinkler system). Remove electrical boxes that are directly attached to the paint booth as well as air lines and breathable airline. Disconnect paint booth air flow alarm system. Remove and properly dispose of old filters (coordinate with Bio-Environmental). Disassemble the paint booth and palletize (box pallets are not required). There are approximately 12 ceiling panels, 30 wall panels, HVAC components, vent motor and belts. Transfer all pallets to the supply building shipping yard (bldg. 33-69). •1.1.1. Install new booth : This is a turn-key project. The end result of this effort is a fully functional paint booth ready for immediate use by the government. Any additional work required for this to be turn-key, must be identified by the contractor prior to bid, and incorporated into the submittal proposal. Assemble the new paint booth in the same location as the previous one, making certain that a minimum of 3 foot clearance around any wall is met. Install new HVAC and then tie into existing which goes to the roof. Re-install ventilation alarm system. Install new breathable airlines, as well as non-breathable airlines. Tie into the sprinkler system and extend two lines into the paint booth. Connect new electrical control panel provided by the manufacturer (part number SMM CTL CBS2082303-5) as well all other electrical connections (lights, fans, etc)
