- Sources Sought This is a Sources Sought to conduct market research and to determine the availability of vendors capable of providing the requirement to provide and install a new Emergency Public Address and Sound Management system as described in detail in the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS). This sources sought does not guarantee the issuance of an RFQ/RFP. However, if an RFQ is issued, VA will follow the Contracting Order of Priority in accordance with Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) Part 819.7004. Based on responses to this RFI, if multiple SDVOSBs, VOSBs, HubZones, or other small businesses are determined to be capable of providing the full requirement, VA will issue an RFQ as a set-aside to the applicable socioeconomic category. If you have the ability to provide the equipment and services outlined in the PWS, please respond to this sources sought with a statement of capabilities. If you intend to provide an equal to the brand name Cambridge please provide descriptive literature on the equal product. If the entire requirement or an equivalent as outlined in the PWS is available from your company under a General Services Administration (GSA) contract or other contract vehicle, please let us know in your response. Requirement The Contractor shall provide and install a new Emergency Public Address and Sound Management system to replace the existing outdated paging system. The system needs to be capable of broadcasting mass communication notices, and provide white noise or noise canceling frequencies for privacy purposes, capable of being individually controlled in each selected office. The contractor shall conduct a site survey, offer one primary design and additional options if the Department of Veterans Affairs chooses to accept, implement, test, train and provide staff members operators/owner s manuals, complete and usable Emergency Public Address and Sound Management System of Cambridge brand (or equal) as a turnkey solution for the HITC building to replace the existing outdated Paging System. The contractor shall remove equipment, replace all the existing ceiling tiles, make minor adjustments and re-install all existing ancillary equipment. The Contractor can provide brand name or equivalent as long as it meets the requirements outlined in the PWS (attached). The contractor shall install and test a complete turnkey solution for the Public Address and Sound Management System HITC building within 180 days after task order award.
