- Description
- The purpose of this post is to answer the following questions: Q: What is the timeline for needing the equipment? A: The delivery schedule can be found on page 5 of the RFQ. Q: How much cable is required? A: There is no requirement for cable. Q: What type of terminations on the cable are required? A: Contractors shall provide the specifications for all equipment interfaces but does not have to provide the cable or male cable terminations (plugs). Q: Is the load bank to be designed for operation and/or stored in the rain? A: Outdoor rating is delineated in Section 8 of the SOW on page 4. Q: Are volt and current meters to be provided on the load bank for local control? A: Monitoring requirements are delineated in Section 15 d of the SOW on page 4. Q: What type of equipment will the remote software run on? A: Software is delineated in Section 15 b of the SOW on page 4. Q: Does the local control panel use toggle switches, membrane switch or digital screen? A: It can be any commercial option. Q: How much data needs to be stored? A: The total amount of data stored is a function of the Windows 10 remote operation computer hard drive capacity. The software should be able to record data continuously as long as enough memory remains in the computer (not to be supplied in this RFQ). Q: Is an overtemperature sensor and shut down to be provided on the load bank with provisions for remote indication? A: It is the Government's understanding that over temperature cutouts are industry standard on resistive load banks. The Government would anticipate that from a safety perspective, this functionality would be built as factory standard. Q: Will the Government provide a bid extension to July 16, 2017? A: The due date remains unchanged as a result of these questions.
