- The United States Coast Guard (USCG) intends to award a sole-source Firm Fixed Price contract to MTU Americas for Quantity two (2) Model 20V1163TB93 MTU MPDE with reusable metal shipping/storage containers, associated installation parts and equipment with metal reusable shipping containers, provide storage services for both diesel engines in containers, associated parts and equipment in containers, and provide diesel engine long term storage maintenance services required to ensure the Original Equipment Manufacturers' (OEM) warranty remains valid. Storage and maintenance services required will be for a base year and three (3) option years. These engines will be used as insurance spares for the existing MDE's currently installed in the 418 foot WMSLs. The diesel engines and associated installation parts and equipment storage shall be in a covered secure facility out of direct sunlight at a facility that will accommodate performing all required inspections and maintenance in accordance with OEM recommendations on site. The maintenance will include quarterly inspections, and re-preservation and packaging every thirty-six (36) months. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 333618 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. DISCLAIMER This notice is not a request for proposal.
