- Description
- Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 with Getinge USA, Inc. (Getinge), 1777 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY, 14623-3133, for the provision of sterilizer and ultrasonic washer maintenance services at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA (NMCP). The contractor shall provide all all parts, labor, materials, travel, personnel, supervision, and freight for the scheduled (preventive) and unscheduled (corrective) maintenance for all identified equipment. The period of performance is 01 October 2017 through 30 September 2022. Getinge will provide maintenance via on-site engineering support, for select Getinge sterilizers installed and used at NMCP. Getinge is capable of providing new, non-refurbished OEM parts required for repairs. Due to the age of the sterilization systems at NMCP, parts are very scarce and hard to order quickly even from the OEM. An OEM service contract will guarantee quick turn-around time for parts delivery. Additionally, Getinge technicians are OEM certified and Getinge is ISO 9001 certified. Accordingly, Getinge is the only qualified source for this procurement that can provide the on-site support and OEM parts for Government-owned Getinge sterilization systems, in accordance with the required performance work statement, immediately upon award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to perform the required work. Capability statements shall not exceed 5 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information, or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source contract. Capability statements are due by 12:00 PM Local Time, 14 June 2017. Capability statements shall be submitted by e-mail ONLY as a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF attachment to the following address: E-MAIL: rachel.a.turk2.civ@mail.mil IN SUBJECT LINE REFERENCE: "N62645-17-Q-0009"
