- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16, intends to solicit proposals for Blood and Blood Products for the Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center, Houston, TX. The solicitation being considered is for a proposed firm-fixed price IDIQ contract with a five-year ordering period. The applicable NAICS code is 325414, Biological Product. The solicitation will be issued on a full and open basis and will be issued on or about June 21, 2017. The vendor shall ensure an adequate, readily available supply of blood and/or blood components and related services that are in accordance with Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and the College of American Pathologists (CAP). The Michael E. DeBakey Medical Center will be seeking vendors that can provide blood/blood components and testing available 24 hours per day, seven days per week regardless of holidays. All offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM), see https://www.sam.gov.
