Description

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request for quotation. The Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs (ICE) Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ) Dallas, TX 7 5247, intends to solicit from a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106 to Caribbean School Inc, 1689 Calle Navarra, Ponce, Puerto Rico 00730 for School Year 2017/2018, August 1, 2017-May 31, 2018. This procurement is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. This requirement cannot be competed because the Government can only reimburse tuition fees to schools that have been designated as Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) Special Arrangement Schools by the Department of Defense Education Activity. There is only one DDESS Special Arrangement School (Caribbean School Inc) in the Ponce, Puerto Rico area. No solicitation document is available and telephone, fax, or e-mail requests will not be honored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice.
